History:

Starting the In-Home Care Service

The Karolinas Home Care story began in 2006 when my mother had the idea to open a group home. As we gathered information for the project, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The need for someone to help my mother with her non-medical needs was always present but we handled it. My father wanted to carry on my Mother’s wish, but after meeting several obstacles, the project was side lined.

In later years, my Dad came down with Alzheimer’s and needed round the clock care. We hired two (2) In-Home Aides to assist him while we work. Whether it was help with laundry, a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or just to spend time over a puzzle, they brighten his day with a few minutes of conversation and a helping hand at home.

Today, Karolinas Home Care is the solution for providing In-Home care services to many clients every day. Karolinas Home Care is independently owned and operated and we work to make a difference in the lives of seniors, adults and children in their community.
